It gives it nice sheen and makes it very soft.  This color requires good upkeep such as masks and conditioning treatments to keep it looking healthy and shiny.   

In case you are wondering about how much this costs, average highlights cost between $110-$175, and includes a gloss, while platinum will run $150-175 first time and then $120 a month to maintain it.  That said, there are a lot of variables depending on the amount, condition and color of your natural hair.  If your hair is lighter, it’s a simpler, less expensive process.
